What we make
We make printed tartan goods for homes, gifts and personal keepsakes. The first range is planned to include tea towels, scarves, blankets and leather keyrings, each designed around a curated selection of Scottish tartans.
These are printed tartan products rather than woven wool tartans. That distinction matters to us. Printing allows us to reproduce detailed patterns with clarity, offer useful everyday items, and keep the range accessible for people buying for family, heritage, travel memories or a well-chosen Scottish gift.
The bureau approach
The Tartan Bureau is built around careful selection, clear information and respect for Scottish heritage. We are starting with 22 tartans, including 16 clan tartans and 6 universal tartans such as Royal Stewart and Black Watch.
Every tartan in the range is chosen with a reason. We aim to present names, associations and product details accurately, without overclaiming history or treating heritage as decoration.
Where we ship
We are based in the UK and plan to ship globally in GBP, serving customers at home and across the Scottish diaspora in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
Whether you are buying for your own surname, a family connection, a Scottish wedding, a Hogmanay table, or a gift for someone far from home, our aim is to make tartan feel considered, useful and easy to choose.
